About Emma

Emma is a passionate Dancer, Actor and Singer. She also plays the Violin and Viola, and has an extensive interest in Musicology. Emma has even become a fairy, performing as Rhapsody in Australian Touring Cast of The Fairies.

 

At only 20 years of age, Emma performed the role of Little Eva in Opera Australia/Gordon Frost Organisation's 2014 Australian tour of "The King & I", alongside Lou Diamond Phillips, Jason Scott Lee, Lisa McCune and Teddy Tahu Rhodes.

Emma has recently toured Asia as a Children's Entertainer, working with Hi-5 as the Swing on their "Supers" tour, and with Millennium Entertainment International/Smile Live Ent. in the "Barney Party Series".

Hailing from a technical dance background, Emma’s experience has been diverse. She has appeared in Dance Academy: Series 3, Deadly Women: Series 11, and the recent feature film Dance Academy: The Comeback.

 

Emma holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre from the National Institue of Dramatic Arts (NIDA). She also trained in the UK and Europe under scholarship, working with various companies such as the Semperoper Ballet (Germany), Anjali Dance Company (England) and the London Children’s Ballet Company.  She has worked closely with renowned choreographer Sarah Boulter, studying at Ev&Bow Full Time Dance Training Centre, on scholarship, in 2013.

In 2016, Emma co-founded JEM Entertainment with her partner Jay. JEM has been a fabulous outlet for both artists to further Direct, Choreograph and Perform, in addition to creating more opportunities for performers within the industry in Sydney. JEM Entertainment has many upcoming productions, including the smash kids show “Once Upon A Time”. JEM Entertainment continues a strong relationship with Birdie Productions, providing Choreography for the 2017 production “FAME! The Musical” and the 2016 production of “Seussical The Musical”.

Emma owes her love of performing to her father whom brought her up in the world of musical theatre and whos continual support helps to drive Emma's career with passion and pride.
